This came to the notice of the people of the UK and the world through a short statement from the Buckingham Palace.
In a statement, Buckingham Palace said: “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.”
This news was met with mourns all over the world. Head of state, international leaders, and many others have expressed their heart-filled sadness about the news.
The Queen was born Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor, in Mayfair, London on 21 April 1926, came to the throne in 1952 at the age 26, and ruled for a period of 70 years. Over the years, She has witnessed initiated enormous social, economic, and technological change
Elizabeth was famously known to reform the monarchy during her reign. She engaged with the public through royal visits, attendance at public events, and public walkabouts. she visited every Commonwealth country at least once proving how highly committed she was to the Commonwealth.
Her son King Charles III said the death of his beloved mother was a “moment of great sadness” for him and his family and that her loss would be “deeply felt” around the world.
Liz Truss, who was appointed Prime Minister by the Queen, said The queen was the rock on which modern Britain was built.
For a long time, ‘God bless the queen’ has always been on the lips of the people of the UK, but now the unusual has happened: they now have a ‘King’ who would rule. King Charles succeeds her in power with immediate effect.
UK Prime Minister Liz Truss speaking about the new King, said: “We offer him our loyalty and devotion, just as his mother devoted so much, to so many, for so long.
“And with the passing of the second Elizabethan age, we usher in a new era in the magnificent history of our great country, exactly as Her Majesty would have wished, by saying the words ‘God save the King’.”
